Indian citizens need a visa to enter Gibraltar, but four useful waivers cover the majority of travellers in practice. **1. Schengen 21 day waiver.** If you hold a multiple entry Schengen visa with at least 7 days remaining validity on your departure date, you do not need a separate Gibraltar visa for stays of up to 21 days. This is the most common route for Indian travellers combining Gibraltar with a Spain or wider Europe trip. **2. UK multi entry visa, 6+ months.** A valid UK multi entry visit, study or work visa issued for 6 months or more (or its eVisa share code equivalent) waives the need for a Gibraltar visa. **3. EU family residence permit.** Holders of an EU family residence card or permit are exempt. **4. Indefinite leave to remain in any Schengen state.** Holders of permanent residency in Spain, Germany, Italy etc. are exempt. Apply in advance to the Gibraltar Borders and Coastguard Agency. All entry checks for Schengen arrivals move to Gibraltar International Airport and the cruise port, in a joint facility staffed by Spanish Policia Nacional and Gibraltar Borders officers. EES biometric registration applies on first entry. ETIAS does not apply (you are a visa national). The Schengen 90 in 180 day rule applies for tourism stays.
